Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate environmental activities in the county by (but not limited to) monitoring events and educating the public, conducting meetings on water quality issues, responding to citizen complaints, developing and reviewing reports, researching new technologies and processes, and representing the county at meetings.

Other duties may include monitoring watershed activities in the county and analyzing the data, taking action to minimize water quality degradation, participate in the development of cooperative programs and activities for watershed pollution prevention.  Provide environmental guidance and enforcement of county ordinances.  Work with various local, state, and federal agencies on water quality issues.
