TRAINING CONSIDERATION
"You will respond to the next emergency as well as you are trained at
this moment!"
|
In Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD) 5, Management
of Domestic Incidents, the President directed the Secretary of
Homeland Security to develop, submit for review to the Homeland
Security Council, and administer a National Incident Management
System (NIMS). This system would provide a consistent Nationwide
approach for Federal, State, local, and tribal governments to work
effectively and efficiently together to prepare for, prevent, respond
to, and recover from domestic incidents, regardless of cause, size,
or complexity.
Lake County responders are encouraged to use the following table
and links to identify the training that responders and employees
should receive that is relevant to the NIMS implementation. This
table reflects all NIMS related training that is available. The
local NIMS Implementation plan provides a complete breakdown of
required and suggested training requirements. All personnel that
would be directly or indirectly involved with an emergency will
be required to completed portions of the NIMS training.
All training is relevant to NIMS implementation
